Enchanted Teepees

"Don't forget the wild." I can't quite remember the last time I went camping, but these images of bohemian tents and teepees are making me plan a camping trip very soon.

HBO's GIRLS

Is anyone else having major GIRLS withdrawals? I am sure I am not the only one. I can't wait for Season Two. Last month, me and my husband visited NYC. We stayed in Brooklyn for a few days, and I couldn't help but to feel like I was in Hannah's hood. I could have sworn I was going to bump into her at some point, or was it just wishful thinking?
Which is your favorite GIRLS character? Mines, is obviously Hannah. My second favorite has to be Jessa. I love her adventurous spirit and careless attitude. Plus, this GIRL has a great style.
Marine is just adorable. I love her classic Manhattan style. She reminds me of a young Charlotte York.
I can't help but to love Shoshanna. Her whole life is completely going to change next season.
GIRLS is currently one of my favorite shows. I have been a fan of Lena Dunham ever since I watched her first feature film Tiny Furniture. It's such a great indie film and it sets the tone for this show. She really does it all and does it well. Between creating, directing, acting and writing, Lena Dunham delivers a raw reality and inside view of the lives of 20 something year olds who are trying to find their place in the world. Every character is so well developed and extremely familiar. For those of you haven't seen the trailer for Season Two, watch it here.

And if you love these Paper Dolls as much as I do, you can download them on the Vulture website.

Happy Birthday Edith Head

"A designer is only as good as the star who wears her clothes" ~ Edith Head
One of her most iconic sketches for the film A Place in the Sun, starring Elizabeth Taylor and Montgomery Clift.
Costume designer at work. I love this fabric, I wonder what film she was working on here.
Last but not least, her sketch for Sabrina. Every girl dreams of owning a dress like this one day.

Edith Head is one of the most recognized and beloved costume designers who was active during "the Golden age of Hollywood", she was nominated for 35 academy awards and won eight for films like A Place in the Sun, All About Eve, Roman Holiday and Sabrina to name a few. Today, Edith Head would have been 115 years old, Happy Birthday to her and her legacy.

Fashion Bloom

"An artist's only concern is to shoot for some kind of perfection, and on his own terms, not anyone else's " J.D Salinger Franny and Zooey
"You were once wild here, don't let them tame you" - Isadora Duncan
"I'm a slave to my emotions, to my likes, to my hatred of boredom, to most of my desires"
- F. Scott Fitzgerald
" Live to the point of tears" - Albert Camus

I am crazy over this photo shoot that is featured in the October issue of Dazed and Confused magazine. It was photographed by Pierre Dabusschere. Such a genius. There is so much rhythm and emotion in these photographs. I wonder if some of these were taken under water?

Ballet Flats: a love story

Decisions, decisions,  I can't seem to find the perfect pair ballet flats. I've been shopping around for over a month now, but I can't seem to narrow it down to just one pair. When it comes to shoes, I tend to shy away from the trendy styles and almost always try to stay with the classic styles, you can never go wrong this way.
I love all kinds of shoes, including heels, boots, loafers, but I've always been a ballerina flat shoe kinda girl.
Maybe I watched Funny Face way too many times as a young girl. Who can ever forget Audrey's "beatnik" costume? I definitely can't, I loved the black skinny pants and ballet flats that she wore in this film. I became so charmed with her look, which then lead to my "Audrey Hepburn Complex", just like the song. Her style was simple, but yet so chic. And of course, you can't complete a look without the perfect pair of shoes.

And so far, these are some of my favorite ballet flats. I wonder which ones Audrey would wear if she was here today.

NYFW Street Style

Hello, I'm back! It's been too long. So many exciting things have been happening in my life lately, a new career in television, a new pet and possibly a new apartment, but regardless of all these changes, I am still the same girl. I still continue to be inspired by the same things....

Fashion Week took over New York City last week and I can't keep enough of all the collections that were shown, but most importantly I am always amazed by local New Yorkers and their street style. These are some of my favorite pictures.
